The Gathering Place formerly known as the Senior Center is hosting Sunday dinner on October 20th from 11 am – 1 pm . The public is encouraged to dine in our carry out their meal.
Fabulous home-cooked meals $9 per adult and just $4 per child. Meal includes glazed spiral ham, au gratin potatoes, salad and sides, rolls and pie.
The serving sizes are big enough to provide you almost two meals.
Ready for a home cooked meal in someone else’s kitchen? That’s what you get at the Cairo Senior Center.
The Cairo Senior Center Board is cooking up a wonderful meal on April 28th. Serving 11 am to 1 pm.
Menu includes: meatloaf, mashed potatoes, lettuce salad, asparagus, corn casserole, red hot applesauce salad, rolls and butter and desserts.
$10,000 of that annual proceeds from the Village sales tax was determined to be used on annual projects. The Sales Tax Committee recommended that the Senior Center receive $8,000 towards much needed repairs for the Senior Center. Some of the repairs included a new roof, fixing of a door, new ceiling fans and painting.
Team building combined with community service is how the Senior Citizen Center was painted. The Centura Football team volunteered their time and man power to complete the painting of the main room. Big thank you to Coaches Larry Baker, Scott Korinek, Skeeter Wooden and Chris Bode for supervising the painting done by an awesome group of Centura Football players.
The Sale Tax Committee recommended that $2,000 of the annual sales tax be used towards maintenance and operation of all Village Parks.
