More than 21 million children qualify for free or reduced-price meals through the National School Lunch Program and the National School Breakfast Program. For many of these children, school meals may be the only meals they eat. What happens when they go home over the weekend?
The Centura BackPack Program helps children get the nutritious and easy-to-prepare food they need to get enough to eat on the weekends.
The Cairo Post Office is one of the numerous rural post offices across the country that is seeing major changes in 2015. As of Feb. 7, the Cairo Post Office will have new window hours. They will be 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 12:00-2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Box up time (the time when all mail is placed in the boxes) will be 10:45 a.m. On Saturdays, the window will be open from 8:30-10:00 a.m. The rural route’s delivery times will be approximately 45 minutes later. Saturdays rural route delivery will remain the same as current times.
