Judges will look for the following criteria: Animation (moving parts), Sound & Special Effects,Interaction (feeling like part of the scene when visiting), and Effective Use of Space. The top three will receive an award sign in their yard.
There is a new addition on main street. The Village Christmas Tree. The tree is located in the lot just north of Pathway Bank. This is your Christmas tree. Add your ornaments or awareness ribbons to the tree at your convenience. Example of awareness ribbons might be yellow for your military tributes. Pink ribbons for those who have fought breast cancer. Blue ribbons for Autism awareness. Ornaments placed on the tree will be disposed with the tree. If you would like to keep your ornaments or your ribbons you must remove them after Christmas. Let’s make this the best decorated tree in the area.
Corporal Eon Lemburg is leading the Marines to collect new, unwrapped toys to give to those in need in our area. If you would like to donate a toy for the toys for tots program you can leave them at ABC Daycare. Corporal Lemburg will be collecting toys during Christmas in the Village. A trailer will be placed next to the Village Christmas Tree located in the lot North of Pathway Bank for toy collection.

They had a goal of 46 units of blood and they met their goal! Eleven Centura staff members donated with the help of thirteen Centura students. Thirty-five other volunteers also donated blood with only one deferral. Each donation collected has the potential to save up to three lives.
After 26 years the Centura Girls Volleyball team was state bound! On Friday November 7th the girls played Hastings St. Cecilia for the district final. They came up short but drew the wildcard that sent them to state. They were placed fifth of eight teams and played number four Guardian Angels Central Catholic in the first round. This game was played at Lincoln Southwest High School at 3:30 p.m. Unfortunately things didn’t go the way the girls would’ve liked, but they ended with a great season and a trip to the state tournament inLincoln!
